Community Involvement
It is through our volunteering that we continue to participate in projects that impact the health and welfare of our local community.
In 2010, Terracare Associates was recognized by the Columbine Memorial Foundation for our volunteer work to provide maintenance service and expertise for the Columbine Memorial. See our Columbine Memorial Foundation page:
We are proud of our involvement in Baby Haven – the first program in Colorado to accept infants into residence while their mothers receive substance abuse treatment – keeping children out of the foster care system.
We also participate every year in Professional Landscape Network’s National Day of Service where volunteers work on landscape projects in the local community. Recent projects have included the renovation of play areas at KidStreet and rehab center operated by Children’s Hospital in Denver and rehabilitation of the oldest cemetery in Denver – Riverside Cemetery.
Other volunteer activities have included participation in the Mile High Miracle League’s construction of The Jason Jennings Field of Dreams project for handicapped children, habitat restoration, creek cleanup, and consulting for the Friends of Marsh Creek Watershed, Centennial Under the Stars, Lone Tree Summer Concert Series, and the construction of the Colorado Department of Transportation’s (CDOT) Memorial Site for fallen employees located at CDOT Headquarters in Denver, CO.
